The Waterside Building
Winner of the 1991 Preservation Alliance Preservation Award
The Waterside Building on West Washington Street is an example of adaptive reuse.
We renovated the 12-story brick building – the former headquarters of the Belknap corporation – and completed it in 1991 as the Humana Waterside office building. As part of the same project, some warehouse buildings closer to the river were demolished, making room for Belknap Plaza, a park in front of the building.
